Who we are

We are Newton St Cyres Golf Course. The golf course is owned and run by the Westaway family, the day to day running of the golf course if taken care of by Anne Westway and Debbie Ashmore.

Newton St Cyres Golf Course is a family business. May and Stanley Westaway bought Higher Rewe Farm in 1952. Son Collin took over when he married Anne in 1959. They had three children Debbie, Mark, and Michael.

Colin had built up a herd of eight nine milking cows by 1995 when he turned to rearing beef bullocks. Ill health brought this to an end and mark built the first nine holes. Following Colin’s death it was decided to complete the project and the second nine were opened in 2012.

Debbie and Anne continue to offer a personal welcome to the course and are anxious to continue improvements as it matures.
